The Sea-Crossed Fisherman is the first of two operas in a project exploring intercultural exchange between Turkey and the West, transcending cultural, imagined and physical barriers preventing Turkish and Western musicians to collaborate and in doing so, create new art. The project is funded by a five-year European Research Council grant, awarded to Michael Ellison via his host institution, Bristol University.

In 2019, this acclaimed inter-cultural production and outreach programme will tour in the UK and Turkey. For further details, please contact Kate Romano
